Data Visualization Clinic In-Person

A space for researchers, students and anyone else to come and bring visualization projects that they are working on for constructive feedback. These can be anything from charts designed for article figures to interactive web displays to printed infographics. Anyone is welcome to join, either as a participant with a visualization for feedback or an audience member.

Participants will be asked to submit a visualization project that they are working on and present it to the room. They will be given 10-15 minutes to present and receive feedback from their peers. Anyone is welcome to participate.

Refreshments will be provided.

 About the Presenter:

Fred LaPolla is a member of the Health Sciences Library’s Data Services team and the liaison to the Department of General Internal Medicine and the Radiology Department. His main area of work is in data visualization services and he is available for classes, workshops, and one-on-one consults on design best practices. He is also interested in publishing metrics, as well as assisting members of the NYULMC community with literature searching and citation management.

Fred LaPolla earned his B.A. in Chinese language and literature from George Washington University and his M.L.S. from CUNY Queens College.
