This workshop will offer a practical overview of designing a survey from “blue-printing” assessment domains, writing survey items/questions, designing response options, planning for analysis, piloting and cognitive testing of surveys, to actually fielding surveys.  If the class expresses interest, the workshop will demonstrate these processes using Qualtrics, the online survey software available to NYULMC faculty, staff and students.  This workshop is appropriate as an introduction for those without much experience in designing and implementing surveys.

Dr. Colleen Gillespie is the Director of Evaluation for the Division of Educational Quality and Analytics and an Assistant Professor to the Department of Medicine. Her research interests include Clinical Competence; Health Knowledge, Attitudes and Practice; and Internship and Residency training.
