Introduction to EndNote for Medical Students In-Person

This course is an introduction to using EndNote. EndNote can help you manage references for the research you are conducting and format citations properly for publications. Topics covered include:

  • Creating and organizing an EndNote library
  • Adding references to a library (from databases and manually)
  • Inserting and editing references in a Word document
  • Formatting references in different styles in a Word document
  • Downloading new styles, filters, and connections to keep updated

Laptops will be available in the classroom, but if you would like to set up and work on your own EndNote library, please bring your own laptop with EndNote already installed. Instructions for installing EndNote can be found here: http://hslguides.med.nyu.edu/citationmanagement
