Practical PubMed & Building Nursing Research Skills In-Person
The purpose of this course is to help nurses develop and improve their skills of searching biomedical databases and accessing scholarly literature and best evidence to support evidence-based practice and clinical decision making.
Join this workshop led by Lita Anglin, Nursing Research and Education Librarian. Together we will explore point-of-care clincial decision support tools by 1) discussing the unique scope and features of each 2) creating personal phone-friendly access and 3) walking through relevant examples. In the second part of the workshop, Lita will show participants several practical tips to make searching PubMed more efficient and effective to retrieve current, high-quality biomedical literature that supports academic and clinical nursing inquiry.
All are welcome, but priority registration will be for staff in Nursing and Patient Care Services.
