Practical PubMed: Library Research Skills for Nurses In-Person
The purpose of this session is to help nurses improve their skills searching biomedical databases for scholarly literature and the best evidence to support nursing practice and clinical decision making.
In this workshop we will explore point-of-care clincial decision support tools by 1) discussing the unique scope and features of each 2) creating personal phone-friendly access and 3) walking through relevant examples. In the second part of the workshop, Lita will show participants several practical tips to make searching PubMed more efficient and effective to retrieve current, high-quality biomedical literature that supports academic and clinical nursing inquiry.
All are welcome, but priority registration will be for staff in Nursing and Patient Care Services.
